Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds (680g) ground beef (80% lean)
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and condiments of your choice
For the Rub:
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the rub: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2-inch (1.3 cm) thick.
- Sprinkle the rub mixture over both sides of each burger patty, pressing it gently into the meat to adhere.
- Place the burger patties on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium, aim for an internal temperature of about 160°F (71°C).
- During the last minute of cooking, you can add cheese slices to the burgers, if desired, and let them melt.
- Remove the burger patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun. Add lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and any other condiments you prefer.
- Serve your delicious grilled hamburgers with your favorite sides, such as French fries, coleslaw, or a side of fresh fruit.
The flavorful rub adds a delicious kick to the burgers, enhancing their taste. Enjoy your juicy and flavorful grilled hamburgers!
