Grilled Hamburgers with Rub

Grilled Hamburgers with a Flavorful Rub:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds (680g) ground beef (80% lean)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and condiments of your choice

For the Rub:

  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the rub: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
  3. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2-inch (1.3 cm) thick.
  4. Sprinkle the rub mixture over both sides of each burger patty, pressing it gently into the meat to adhere.
  5. Place the burger patties on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium, aim for an internal temperature of about 160°F (71°C).
  6. During the last minute of cooking, you can add cheese slices to the burgers, if desired, and let them melt.
  7. Remove the burger patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Meanwhile, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill.
  9. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun. Add lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, and any other condiments you prefer.
  10. Serve your delicious grilled hamburgers with your favorite sides, such as French fries, coleslaw, or a side of fresh fruit.

The flavorful rub adds a delicious kick to the burgers, enhancing their taste. Enjoy your juicy and flavorful grilled hamburgers!
